My little Emma (& I) love One Direction! The song "Rock Me" was playing and Em said, "I love this song. This is my most favorite One Direction song!" I say, "Em loves One Direction!" Then Jeremiah chimes in, "Who doesn't?"

I guess Jay loves 1D too! Haha

Super Hot days in May

We've been having random hot weeks in SD since April and this week is no exception!  Today was one of the hottest days of the week (tomorrow is supposed to be even hotter)!

This new waterfront park at the County Administration Building opened up this past weekend and since Jenner was off in the afternoon today we thought it would be a good idea to take the kids here after school to beat the heat.  We only spent an hour here cause parking was only free for a limited time, but the kids had a blast!  We will definitely visit this place again.  There's plenty of grass for a picnic, a playground, lots of fountain space for the kids to play in the water and parking was relatively easy since it's directly underground.

Mother's Day everyday

Mother's Day was this passed Sunday, but I'm not sure if Emma knows Mother's Day was only for that day.  This morning she tells me, "This is the best day ever... because of you mommy!"  I said, "Aw, thank you baby!"  Then she greeted me a Happy Mother's Day.  She usually is mad at me, so I'll take her sweetness when I can!  I love my mini-me!

She really doesn't like my singing!

I don't know how many millions of times the kids and I have watched Frozen, but by now all of us know the words to the songs.  It's super duper hot this week so today when the kids got home we all had popsicles and Jeremiah put in the Frozen DVD.  So the kids are at the counter with their popsicles and I'm in the kitchen washing the dishes and I start singing along with the movie.  Then Jeremiah says, "mommy, Em's getting mad at you"  So I turn around and Em is giving me the stink eye!  I say, "Em, you really don't like my singing?  You know, when I'm in heaven you're gonna miss me singing."  Jay agreed.  Then Emma says, "Well, when you're in heaven I'll miss YOU, buuuuuut..."  I reply, "you won't miss my singing? hahaha"  Then my sweet little Emma shook her head no.

I haven't posted a picture/video of Nico on my blog yet, so here's my little handsome man at 18 months old! aka Crazy Baby Man! :)

luscious lips

Because I'm considered an older/at risk preggo, I get ultrasounds about every 4 weeks.  This weeks ultrasound was great, everything was normal according to the doctor.  Too bad baby boy was being shy and covering his face with his arm, however we get a sneak peak at his nose and his luscious lips!  haha.  I think he's has mommy's lips :)

Mother's Day Celebration at Preschool

Today Em's preschool had a Mother's Day celebration for all the moms.  First they sang a song for us, then we had some goodies and lastly we got to make a beaded bracelet together.  Em was so shy during the song she could hardly look at me :)  I loved every minute of it.

I'm convinced my 5yo is actually 30!

Em comes in my room asking for paper so I ask her if she's done with her dinner.  She says, "umm, yes.  Technically, I'm full."

wth? technically!?  where did she even hear that word.  Em has a pretty good vocabulary for a 5 year old. haha.  She always surprises me with how smart she is.  I'm a proud mama.  It's just so funny to hear such big words from this little lady.

Em: arrrgh! what?! this is part of my project for mother's day and you ruined it!
Jay: you know what Em? When you get mad like that you get closer to the dark side.
Em: noooo!
Jay: yes, that's what happens when you get mad..

Jay: mommy, does heaven look like this...with houses and stuff?
Me: good question, Jay! I'm not sure, but when I dreamt about my grandma everyone was at a park.
Jay: hm. was it a message from an angel?
Me: ya, probably from my grandma.
Jay: so an angel put a message in your dream box?
Me: hmm, I guess so :)
